But, if you read the BBC interview that Joe supplied, Barry stated that they were not working on a specific project, just writing songs. I think that kind of settles it, no? Also, there has been talk of Barry producing an album with MJ since the 80's. For whatever reasons it never happens. He's made of very special material. This A&E Special is an abbreviated form of the Bee Gees DVD This is Where I Came in biography, with Harry Smith (the A&E host) over-dubbing the original host almost word for word. But it is shorter. If you want the best 2 documentaries on the boys (that I know of) get Keppel Road and This is Where I Came In. Get your condition checked. Forewarned is forearmed. Their life story is an open book. Sometimes I think their interviews are a little repetitive, because they've shared their whole lives with us. They really became my friends even though I never met them. Even the way Barry and Robin sat down with the BBC reporter and talked so freely, it felt like I was sitting in the room with them sharing this pain. Someone was talking about being concerned for Robin's well being. I think it will take him a long time to come to terms with Mo's death, but I sense he'll come through just fine. If anything I think it'll bring him out a little more. I don't know, I'm just rambling on. I'm just reaching for something to help me feel a little better. The fact is that the Bee Gees are ahead of the Beatles..., that's the point..., and they will always be. We fans know it very well, if only they had the correct promotion the rest of the world would too. We must tear down the stigma of the Fever period... They are a lot more than falsetto or Staying Alive, and when the world finally understands this, the boys will be placed where they belong. These days I've read incredible things, like they had no releases in the 90's, no mention of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, no mention of Still Waters or Size......, some reporters write about the ESP comeback and it seems that they stopped again till This Is Where I Came In. Many forgot the 60 's period (full of incredible songs)..., that's not serious and it MUST be changed.
