Same here. I could not imagine listening to them the other day. But yesterday when my son turned on Storytellers, I cried a bit, then started to feel better. I saw Maurice as he was, always cracking little jokes and on more than one occasion making Barry laugh. It was very bittersweet, and a bit heartbreaking, but it made me feel a little better. Christine E. ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Plaza Online" Reply-To: words@brothersgibb.com I had the same feeling about playing their music until I tried. But surprisingly it made me feel better indstead of worse. I am sure many of you will feel it the same way. Mo lives on through the music, that's one more reason to play it. I couldn't open it. I'd be grateful if you could send me or the list the text. I met David at a booking signing. He's a really lovely guy. I'm three-quarters through the book, which is quite marvellous and gives a different picture of the brothers' personalities from everything else I've read. However, since Maurice was taken ill, I just can't pick up the book. Personally, I can't see when I'm next going to play one of their CDs, or when I'm even going to sit in front of the piano again. Hopefully I'll see things differently soon. I don't like today's music (most of it) and it is a waste of my time to watch it. I seldom watch the Grammies anymore either. Remember we do have free speech, so if some members want to complain, they have that right. To those who do like today's music, that is fine. People don't have to like what I like, as we all have different tastes. I take it some of you guys have not listened to Top 40 radio for twenty years. Can we just say that, and move on, and cut the moaning and wailing over the state of music today and whether these kids can sing. I actually had to go check the calendar... all this questioning what that Dick Clark fella is thinking, I was afraid I'd fallen back into 1962 or something.
