I will say that the last things that Barry and Robin said were great to hear. That is that they will continue recording and that the Bee Gees are still around, and Maurice will always be showcased as part of the group. Especially when Robin said "You're looking at the Bee Gees". I found it very inspirational and gave me as a fan something to look forward to. It kind of comforted me a little. Imagine that, they comforted me. God Bless them both. It's based on Betty Wright's "Clean up woman", a Florida sound record from a few years earlier. But everything's based on something, and that song has a whole different feel to it. Thank God for this list and the communication I have with others like myself. I have been getting communications with people in my past and apparently I have a reputation as a Bee Gees nut and I am taking this rather hard. This is something I didn't expect to deal with at this point as I'm sure we all are. I spent some time on Sunday with a former bandmate just buddying around town. We used to play Bee Gees cover tunes in a band some odd 6 or 7 years ago when I had more time on my hands. I had recently lent him one of my guitars so he could teach his kid to play. The superficial details surrounding Mo's passing seem uncanningly like Andy's: stomach pains and then it's over. It it is some genetic disposition, I hope the other two are able to take some pre-emtive measures. Fifty-three is a way too young and in this case I do not believe it was directly related to his pre-disposition to party a little too much in his younger years. I'm a little peeved at the innacurracies with which the press are describing his life, I guess only a die-hard fan would know these things. He was so much more than the bass player. The past ten years has seen crazy advances in technology (this list is a benefit of that technology) and Mo was at the helm of that - setting up the sequencers and samplers. He hasn't played bass on an album for years. I discovered Mo's stuff in the late 70s while searching for B-sides for singles. Most of his stuff was only available on OOP singles or obscure British budget releases. It wasn't until the Tales set that most of us could hear his stuff in all of its digitized remastered glory. I still think Railroad was ahead of its time. The most mature solo stuff to come out of those 18 months - but that was 33 years ago and we are now a lifetime away from that. This wasn't supposed to happen. If there's something you guys wanna do, I'm aboard. Some of us can use paypal to beam money around the world.
