Does Toyota throw in a free car (or even a discount) after we've bought 5 vehicles from them? Does George Clooney say, "You've been to my movies SO many times that I think I'll stop by your place and do a little skit for you"? Does Procter & Gamble send their CEO over to give us a bath because we've bought so much of their soap? Did we think Jack Welch was going to remain chairman of GE forever? Well, maybe that's a bad analogy....he apparently makes as much money when he doesn't work as when he does work.... I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD STOP ME HERE 'CAUSE I'M STARTING TO GET ON MY OWN NERVES!! Debbie ===================================== Maybe because they are millionaires that they might want to repay the fans that made them that rich a little bit more than they have done in the past......................only a thought Brian u.k > I'm curious. Why do so many people feel that men who are millionaires > many times over should be compelled to continue putting in regular work > weeks or traveling between cities they probably don't want to visit to > perform one-night stands? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Jan 2003 13:27:40 -0500 From: Frankie Subject: Re: Digest (01/07/2003 06:01) (#2003-3450) Robin did say they The bee Gees would be doing another album and a tour...when he was asked the future hold for the Bee Gees? And if there would be a Bee Gees album, or even a tour. Robin said when his promotion is over, the guys will start working on a Bee Gees album, with a tour to promote it. But that doesn't mean it's going to happen...many other things can happen..one of them can be sick..lose a loved one...they are human beings...you know and if things can happen to you it can happen to them too! they're not singing machines...or things...they do have a right to live...they've earned it! Maurice has his new paintball shop. Give them time. YES! You're right Christine... Robin said in the q&a > on his site that they are NOT breaking up. He doesn't give any definate plans for a tour. Maybe they will tour again, or maybe they won't. It matters not to me. I have seem them before, plus I have 3 or 4 videos of their concerts. Even if I can't see them again, I have memories. I am quite certain they will record together soon. > Christine E. > > ---Original Message Follows---- > From: YMcKenz@aol.com > Reply-To: words@brothersgibb.com > I've posted this before, and I'll say it again: > I would LOVE to see the Bee Gees continue to put out albums and perform BUT they clearly have the right to put a stop to it if they want. Unfortunately, despite Robin's post to the contrary on his website yesterday, I really truly don't think they'll tour again. I hope I'm wrong. This is what I would like to see happen: if they decide to stop making albums and/or touring, treat the true, die-hard fans like us. Hold another Andy Gibb Memorial Fundraiser. We die-hards would gladly shell out the travel, lodging and a BUNCH of cash to support their charities, if only for the chance to see and meet them. Maybe even have them sing a bit for us. I know Barry (and sometimes Rob and Mo) do the Love and Hope Ball, but it is not geared specifically for fans. What a treat for me to be among others of "my kind", travel to Florida, spend all kinds of money for auctions, memorabilia, etc. just to meet them all and maybe have them sing to several hundred of us............ This is my dream. Pretty close to the last AGMF in 1999, minus all 3 of them being there and them singing to us....... Yvonne Wright > Hi Yvonne, Frankie here...Count me in...Yes it would be great! I would go for that...I would even sell my hubby for that or even my cat! LOL Just kidding I would never sell my cat! ha!ha! > Frankie YES!!!! YES!!!! Yes I know Marty - she's a he by the way!! Hadn't noticed that things had gone quiet, but I tried calling today and the number shows unobtainable! My memories of speaking to Robin and being only two feet or so away from him, will remain with me until Alzheimers or senility set in. I'm sure it would be very popular - what do you think, fellow Aussies, Mary, Mark, Julie etc?? :-)))) > This is what I would like to see happen: if they decide to stop > making albums and/or touring, treat the true, die-hard fans like us.
