Night Fever. Just wondering if anyone has seen or owns Complete Volume 1? I'd love to get hold of it, but have never seen it. Cheers, Max ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2007 09:10:53 +0100 From: "Maggie Bleksley" Subject: Re: Barry's house Judy, Sal was simply putting an event which, in itself is a tragedy, into perspective on a world-wide scale. I have seen far more OT posts than this. There is nothing wrong with you or anybody else stating their opinion, but when we do, we need to prepared for a certain amount of disagreement from others. IMO you both have valid points, but I don't think sarcasm is necessary just because somebody has a different point of view from yours. Yes, I have one - it's my second copy actually - these books are not particularly well bound and the slightest amount of bending would cause the glue to crack, susequently all the pages fell out my first copy! =8^S I have most of the individual album songbooks as well, although a certain Mr Gooch has one that I still need! Those boys down there like to keep it real. But, any lack of authenticity Barry may face from the viewpoint of Nashville may have more to do with the fact that he is an Englishman than a wealthy Miami Beach resident. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2007 18:56:19 +1000 From: "Max Parry" Subject: Re: Bee Gees Complete Volume 1: Songbook Thanks Andrew, at least I know it exists. Does it start from Bee Gees First= ? Anyone seen it come up on eBay or elsewhere? I bought my copy back then just for the lyrics. Now I'm playing guitar so I want it for the chords as well. My copy of Vol 2. is still intact and is put together well. I've bent the book to photocopy songs and it's held together well. I wasn't aware there were songbooks published of the individual albums, I'v= e only seen compilations. Cheers, Max, Australia. I haven't heard many of his songs, but I think he had a good voice. I think some people have said before that there were other things that Andy would have liked to do, instead of making records. I sometimes wonder if he felt he was expected to go into the music industry, or if he felt he had to? I'm sure he did want to as well, but didn't his former wife Kim once say that he would rather have been a pilot? Michelle ----- Original Message ----- I saw Andy perform live in "Pirates" once, and the comments of a couple leaving the theatre just behind me have always stuck in my mind. They said that one thing was for sure, Andy Gibb could not sing. This was the impression he left with non-Gibb fans. No flames please. :) Anne ----- Original Message ----- "Words & Music", Fans Of The Brothers Gibb ( Bee Gees ) http://www.brothersgibb.com To change any of your list options, please go to website listed above. ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [04/14/2007 09:01] ----------------------------------------------------
