This was about a year before signing to Warner. Don't know how true those reports were but if they were sincere I figure that to please their new label they chose not to. /Ronnie Apatisk livsnjutare http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jun 2006 09:41:53 +0100 From: "Julian Glass" Subject: RE: Digest (06/20/2006 03:01) (#2006-2174) 1- We have Juliet where Mo sings "close your eyes Juliet don't let go", although that was a Robin Gibb single. What? Sounds like Robin to me. As for bumsrush....I Dunno yet if I will able to see the webcast, but One of the reasons that has kept me away from getting it (aside the price) is the fact that you can get it only with a credit card (Which definately I don't have). Otherwise it was all four together (generally during the early years), the two girls together or a solo female. They figured pretty early on that the girls vocals worked better for single releases. Benny only sang lead on one song released during their active years, Suzy-Hang- Around, and that was an album track only. Ringo, imo, should shut up altogether... ;) /Ronnie Apatisk livsnjutare http://www.brothersgibb.com Bee Gees News and Information ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jun 2006 11:35:39 +0000 From: "Peter Frans" Subject: Björn, Ringo, Mo, Elisa >Well, "Does Your Mother Know" features Björn on lead vocal but that is >really >the only single I can think of. There was an early single called "Another town, another train"... released in Germany as "Wer im Wartesaal der liebe steht", featuring Björn on lead vocal. (I love his voice on "Two for the price of one".) Ringo's range is limited, but I don't think any Beatle could have sung "Goodnight" as well as he did. Lovers of standards may also appreciate his album "Sentimental Journey", which of course contains "Bye Bye Blackbird" with charming vaudeville arrangements by Maurice. I agree with earlier remarks about "Above and Beyond" and "Overnight". They would have worked much better without Barry's falsetto. I even think that "For the benefit of Mr Kite" might have been interesting without Barry. I'm not a fan of Maurice the producer, but he always added a great deal of warmth to the harmonies, and sounded very sincere and natural as a lead vocalist. To me, his verse in "Elisa" is one of the highlights of that song. If the language used was designed to offend me, try harder buster I've been called worse, to my face, by braver people than you. ~Laced ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [06/20/2006 09:01] ----------------------------------------------------
