LOLOL=0D No doubt, there is no right or wrong way to interpret poetry. ;)=0D =0D "No Doubt"=0D Written by Deconzo Smith and Kenneth Mangram=0D =0D It's Friday night and I just got paid=0D Going out on the town=0D Trying to get my freak on=0D I can't see me staying at home all alone=0D No it ain't right, I got to go out=0D And see if I can find that special one=0D =0D You can be the one that I want to get it on with=0D Me and u rocking to the break of dawn=0D You can be the one that I want to go home with=0D Take you from the club to my spot=0D Then we can get right to it yeah=0D =0D No doubt--me and u yeah yeah=0D No doubt--popping christal yeah=0D No doubt--chilling at the house=0D Get into the shower for a half an hour yeah=0D No doubt--all inside the club yeah=0D No doubt--get some good lovin'=0D No doubt--I just want to break you off=0D Ohh we to the break of dawn=0D =0D I can tell that you, need a love like mine=0D But you try to play shy=0D Like you ain't feeling my vibe=0D But I know what you need=0D The only kind of love I give=0D So why don't we both keep it real=0D Do the kind of things we feel oh yeah=0D =0D You can be the one that I want to get it on with=0D All night long, me and you getting it on=0D Is that what you were thinking=0D You can be the one=0D That I wanted to go home with=0D Ohhhhh no doubt=0D =0D Lyrics are just poetry. And "No Doubt" :) poems can be interpreted as ma= ny ways as there are readers.=0D Personally, I always took it that the 'freakin' guy was popping a champag= ne cork because he was at home and attempting to romance his 'special one'.=0D =0D Six a' one and a half dozen of the other. :)=0D =0D As far as Robin popping Crystal Meth...the guy is so health concious, he'= s into micro nutrition. Anybody that into healthy eating ain't gonna turn around and pop poison...of any kind...into his body...again, just my personal opinion.=0D =0D :) Ross ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Jun 2006 11:06:44 EDT From: MichelleSweetin@aol.com Subject: Re: Popping Crystal In a message dated 6/16/2006 9:50:24 AM Eastern Standard Time, settyr@aciworldwide.com writes: I think we safely say that the reference in the song No Doubt is to this drug - and nothing to do with champagne corks! Good grief. Since the lyric sheet specifically spelled the word "christal", and not 'crystal', it's a WHOLE lot more likely that they meant the champagne, not the drug. Yes, the name of the champagne is spelled "Cristal', and yes, you can argue that someone did that to throw off the 'clue', but hell, since in the US, 'Cristal' is FAR more used 'in the club' than crystal meth, why indeed DO you want to think the worst of Robin? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Jun 2006 13:43:42 EDT From: Mistyhart@aol.com Subject: Re: BUMSRUSH In a message dated 6/15/2006 2:43:02 P.M. Dan. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Hi Dan & everyone else ~ Personally, I think it will be interesting and I'm sure I'll watch it many times. I share the same sense of humor as they do (a good thing ? ? ? lol) and have made lots of 'home movies' like the ones on BUMSRUSH. (yikes). I ordered 1 about a week ago but don't expect it to arrive for another 3 weeks. I'll let ya know when I get it and give it my 'review'. : ) GinGee ~ ------------------------------ End words@brothersgibb.com Digest [06/16/2006 15:01] ----------------------------------------------------
