Fallen Angel... It was only omitted from the American issue of the album. Or, to put it another way, PTE and JIC were added to the UK one as bonus tracks. Not sure why they couldn't be on all of them if they were on the UK ones, but no doubt there was some petty legal reason which I probably wouldn't understand anyway! What a fantastic version he could have done of this one if, as in the early days, his Roy Orbison influence came to the fore. I think it would have been a great showcase for Robin's voice Hi Maggie - I totally agree with you. This was the song I thought would be my favorite, but something about "WHA - WHA" in the middle of this beautiful song ruined it for me. I would love a studio version of the way he sings in on the "Live" collection. This is a perfect song for his voice. For the most part I enjoy Magnet, especially the first five songs, but there are a couple of songs that he wasn't singing them I wouldn't be listening. IMO, there are some real throw-away songs on Magnet and that's what made it such a disappointment. I have thought the same thing. We are used to hearing him sing songs on a more, for the want of a better word, sophisticated level. My least favorite Magnet song is "Earth Angel" and it has nothing to do with the way he sings it - it is 100% the words! To me it sounds like a 16 year old wrote them.
