I'm betting Robin wrote a substantial part of the lyrics to the Barry-sung songs from the Fever period. Michel Hi Michel: I've always thought that Barry is arbitrarily given credit for most of the song writing, and when Robin & Mo where very young that may be true. However, as they grew up I can't imagine Robin (or Mo) not getting their two cents into the lyrics of the songs they sang. They have all indicated at one time or another that they consider themselves songwriters first. I doubt that Robin and Mo would have been so adament about this over the years if it wasn't how they felt. They could have easily identified themselves as performers, singers, arrangers etc. if they weren't contributing to the songwriting. It may or may not have been equal, but I'm sure that they were all major contributors for most of the songs. "Obsessions" Julian "I have another thought. Has the word polarised been used as a lyric in one of their songs?" Did they travel = > around the beach??=20 > > Genny > Caravan holidays are very common in England. Some people have their own caravans, or trailers, but there are many caravan parks in holiday resorts, where the caravans stay put and people hire them for a week or two for self-catering accomodation. A few people even live in them permanently. I would think, from what Robin said, that a similar type of holiday accomodation is popular in Australia. And maybe that is exactly what happened to Barry. It did seem as though he was not motivated to do anything. Gained a bunch of weight and maybe depressionn took over. Anyhow that is what works for me. Can't see that it applies to Robin, he threw himself into working non-stop. Just random thoughts. Les Tousseurs is airbrushed out of all written history as far as I can tell yet Barry mentions it first. Clive is more than polite about their music although he concentrated a lot on the fever period. His was gentle ribbing and poking a little fun in what is after all a light entertainment programme. Please enlighten me why they would be so offended? Les Tousseurs is airbrushed out of all written >history as far as I can tell yet Barry mentions it first. Les Tousseurs was an "in joke" with the boys. It referred to a sign that they put on their door at the Brit awards - everybody was outraged about this - "Oh my God - who's stuck that on the Bee Gees door!?" while they were all having a good laugh about it all. > Clive is more than polite about their music although he concentrated a lot > on the fever period. His was gentle ribbing and poking a little fun in > what is after all a light entertainment programme. He wasn't particularly poilte about ANYTHING to do with them! You really had to be there to see how he laid into them - he wasn't at all rude to any of the other guests!
