Coming out of skim and lurk mode....spurred on by my old friend Yvonne's fave list! Here is mine.. 60s Massachusetts (naturally) 70s Love Me (considered Oh Darling' but knew that didn't count) 80s Don't Fall in Love With Me 90s For Whom the Bell Tolls 00s Wedding Day My complete and utter dedication to Robin is so obvious it scares even me! His amazing voice has thrilled me since I was 12 years old! How I do miss the carefree days when I could look forward to more Bee Gee music...sigh...nice to have you all here online to remind me of how great they are and what a joy there music has been in my life! Have a great day everyone! Peace, Mary (who had to finally dedicate an entire cd rack that holds 300 cds just to her Bee Gee cds!) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Jun 2003 23:49:01 -0700 (Pacific Standard Time) From: Kathy Hansen Subject: I can't do it! --Boundary_(ID_5NFND1maceMkl5NiRBRQ6Q) Content-type: multipart/alternative; boundary="Boundary_(ID_LRic5XjS0Xq+XWjqJ6jmqQ)" --Boundary_(ID_LRic5XjS0Xq+XWjqJ6jmqQ) Content-type: Text/Plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Hi, everyone! Thanks for the challenge, Judy, but I just can't pick out one song in each decade...I tried...I truly did. I don't think I could pick five in each decade. I just love too many of them to choose. Every morning I play a different album while getting ready for work. I play album after album all day every day at work. Sometimes I have to play them two or three times in a row before I change CDs. I listen going to and from work. When I listen to "Tales" (recently acquired) I listen to all four discs, not just one or two. I have even revisited ESP and have decided I like it MUCH better than I thought I did. So, I just can't pick out one song for each decade. Now, I do know if we choosing "favorite songs they did for others...but should have kept for themselves" (IMO)...I would be first to comment....Oh, wait..I think I will....On my list of "favorites" would definitely be "You and I" ,"Eyes That See In The Dark," "This Woman and "Midsummer Nights." The music and lyrics in these songs are incredible and are some of the best songs they ever created (IMO). Oh, wait...I forgot "Hold Me.".... ...Actually, all the songs on "that" album were wonderful, but these four (five) are my favorites that were on "that" album. Barry's interpretation of these songs is nothing less than amazing with the emotion and intense passion that they so deserved and what was missing from "that" album. The first time I heard Barry do these songs, I had to pick my chin up off the floor....what a difference! I am so thankful I had the chance to listen to Barry sing these great songs. Ok...so you have my opinion and "my favorite songs they did for others..but should have kept for themselves." These thoughts and opinions have been churning inside for some time and this was just the perfect opportunity to let it all out...politely, I hope. I think I feel better, now. Thanks for the opportunity, Judy! Nights On Broadway Fanny Late 70's: How Deep Is Your Love Too Much Heaven Love You Inside Out 80's: Wildflower Be Who You Are All The Love In The World Kathy's Gone Face To Face Gone With The Wind You Win Again One 90's: Happy Ever After Paying The Price Of Love Blue Island Lover's Prayer Rings Around The Moon This Decade So Far: Man In The Middle Deja Vu Technicolor Dreams Just In Case (I Haven't Heard One Song From Robin's New LP-So I Can't Judge) Whoo!
